Philadelphia Biblical University winning women's tennis team will have an extended place to call home.

PBU added two additional courts to their tennis facility, according to a news release. Lights were also added to all of the new and preexisting courts.

The courts will provide the women’s tennis team, which produced more wins last season than in the previous three combined, with a home court for tournament play. Members of the community are also welcome to use the courts, according to the news release.

The McCurdy Tennis Facility is the result of the generosity of Catherine M. Stromberg in memory of her parents James L. and Edna McCurdy, friends of Philadelphia Biblical University. According to the news release, it is their hope that the courts serve the needs of the university, student athletes, and regional community as well as encourage fitness through the promotion of the sport of tennis as a lifetime recreational activity.

PBU said it hopes the public will enjoy use of the new facility.
