Walt Disney Elementary Awarded $4K Grant

A Pennsbury elementary school is awarded a $4,000 grant.

“Each year, Waste Management -- a Pennsbury Partner -- donates a $4,000 environmental education grant to one of our school facilities. This year's recipient was Walt Disney Elementary School,” Pennsbury Communications Director Ann Langtry said.

Langtry said the grant is intended to support an ongoing effort initiated by the Tools For School Committee, an ad hoc group of the Disney PTO, to collect donations toward building a landscaped play area for the students at Walt Disney Elementary.

 “The playground plans incorporate environmental learning stations and gardens to enhance the curriculum taught in the classroom,” Langtry said.
